Seen Jive Turkey couple months back on some server somewhere.... other than that - Stopped playing DOD about a month ago, maybe after the next "Update" I will pick it up again.....

Oldest of the Old School... been a long time.

Just loaded my Steam account back up and my old MXG e-mail address is still my username haha!

Figured I'd stop by and see how Ix and the gang were doing and look what I find!

Man this is bizzare seeing this thread. I randomly did a google search for "keep the prac" just for shits and giggles (those of you who get it will understand) and a thread on the MXG forum archives. And here I find this thread. Its funny moreso just to see how time flies. I used to work personally for Geoff waaay back in the day. I didn't realize that there was a group of DoD players who post on here. People who's names I actually recognize. I used to play for RBC, RWB, TAU, and several others that escape my mind, mostly in CAL-I though. I honestly havent thought of DoD or even MXG in years until tonight. Geoff if you recognize who this is I'm doing well man, I hope you are as well. I joined the military, got out, went back to school and am heading off to law school next year. How is the store doing these days?

I just got done doing some homework and for some reason Maximum Gamer and the old school DoD/CS times popped into my head. Seeing this thread and these names on the top of the forum put a huge smile on my face.

I'm starting to get back into FPSs after 5+ years of time wasted in WoW. I haven't played DoD in ages, but Ive been hitting TF2 pretty hard lately and just won a free copy of L4D from bigdownload.com.

I go by the name of Deknoob these days. My main character in WoW was named Dekun (deacon) (Orc Shaman). I used to pull some hilarious shinannigans and people started calling me Dek(deak) noob. It's funny that you post this thread, because I visited the site specifically for this thread's purpose. I remember all you 5.o folk along with all the BSA'ers from CS. I was forever_ending and held the MG top spot for DoD for a while. I played CS a lot too. Nice to see some of you are still around.

Man...I'm so happy for how well Ixian is doing now. It's hard to believe that the last time I was posting here I was only 14! (2002)

edit: Just read evo's post and I am in the same boat. I played WoW hardcore for a few years, and the appeal of playing FPSs is back into my system. I found WoW to just be far too time consuming. Does MaximumGamer still have CS servers up or is it now strictly focused on LAN centers?

edit2: It also seems that this thread is over a year old. Lol. Well, if you happen to read this, just please answer my question about the servers, Ixian. Once again, I'm happy it's all worked out for you. Your servers provided me with countless hours of enjoyment throughout my adolescence.

Still visit this site - occasionally...

It is hard to believe the stuff that has happened "Around" this site, the servers, IRC....

Only people I see anymore are - Zone Trooper (Still playing DoD on the KEA Servers), Schmiggs (Facebook), Walgreens (MSN, Facebook), couple others here and there....
