It's true, the Arvada store has closed. Two facts made this happen: Our lease was up, and business was down - way down. I love the store more than anyone else but paying thousands of dollars a month just to keep the doors open was no fun and it didn't make any sense to renew, even for a few years. The opportunity came to close and here we are. Or rather, were.
Saturday, December 5th we're going to hold a sale of the remaining equipment (quite a bit has been sold, but we've got some really good deals on cheap PC's, flat screen monitors, PC gear, and games). We're going to open the doors for that at 11am. This is also being posted on Craigslist, so there will probably be quite a few people turning out - in other words, get there early.
This website will continue, probably to morph in to another state of gaming, maybe even go back to what it was from 1997-2003: A PC gaming site, focused on dedicated FPS shooters and servers. Once we were the premier destination for Day of Defeat, the Valve WW2 mod. Perhaps Call of Duty WoW is in our future? Who can say? Only one thing is certain: Our LAN center is no more.
It's been a fun 7 years, Arvada. See you on the other side.
