What is a LAN Gaming Center anyway?

So, what do you all do here?

If you've ever thought this, or even asked it of us at some point, you aren't alone - it's a question we get a lot, even after 7 years in business. These days, where almost every home has some sort of PC setup and broadband connection, why would you pay - no matter how inexpensive it was - to play at our LAN Gaming Center?

LAN= Local Area Network

You come to Maximumgamer for the same reason gamers have been holding basement LAN parties for over a decade - because games take on a whole new level of fun when you are playing right there, next to your friends. Because we take the pain out of gaming - you can walk in, pay for time, sit down and start gaming in under 60 seconds. Forget voice chat - now you can talk with your friends live and in person (and snag some of their food when they aren't looking - try that on Ventrilo).

We also have exclusive specials you can't get anywhere else - last year, for example, you could play Left 4 Dead in our store weeks before you could buy it.

To use another example: It's a whole lot cheaper to buy your own beer and drink at home, yet bars thrive. Same concept: it's being able to hang out with your friends, and game together, that counts.  If you haven't been in, or it's been a while, why not stop on by? For $5 bucks you can play for 3 hours - try paying that for 3 hours of entertainment at your local theater.

So come on by today - there's gaming to be done.
